Welcome to our first proper blog! We wanted to give some insight into the running of our business so you can know more about the passion behind our unique Vilo pieces. This week we took a winter break, spending three nights in the Far North of New Zealand at Taupo Bay. The Far North is a perfect winter adventure with stunning New Zealand tramping trails, and a crystal Pacific Ocean providing a playground for paddle-boarding, fishing and a refreshing dip!
We thought we’d have some fun during our time away, showcasing our unique pieces in New Zealand’s natural environment. I love that crafting our pieces from wood, causes each watch case and sunglass frame to be unique. Josh spent some time away experimenting with our new watches against a Pohutukawa, amongst thick kikuyu grass and amid our secluded beach. No one thinks to head to the beach in winter but that’s when the ocean’s the clearest and the sands most deserted. New Zealand’s natural beauty showcases Vilo’s new time pieces perfectly.
